Fiber laser welding is a new technique that uses a laser beam to fuse materials. The practical technique consist of feeding the laser beam in one of the workpiece leading to generation of high temperature which melts the material and upon cooling the material fuses. This process is easier than the traditional techniques since there is no requirement for fill metals however it is noted that the direct method is effective for the welding of various components using different metal ores and alloys. As industrial advancement continues, there is need for high quality welding, fiber laser welding technology seems to be the answer for many of the manufacturing processes.
